Achieving new standards - Investors in People

Investor in People is a national quality standard that focuses on the importance of staff to the success of any organisation. It provides a framework, based on a number of criteria (indicators) against which organisations can measure their performance in a number of areas relating to good management practice, communications and support for staff development. Those organisations that achieve IiP recognition can demonstrate that they acknowledge the important contribution all their staff make and that they support their staff accordingly.

In June 2008, VOW Europe Ltd (what was formerly Kingfield Heath Ltd) underwent a second review to determine whether we continued to meet the standard. The standard had also been revised since our last review in 2005.

The review was carried out by an IIP assessor, Mike Stacey, who met with around 100 people across various locations. His conversations with these staff, plus other information provided before and during his visit, enabled him to determine the extent to which we meet the 10 performance indicators under the standard.

At a feedback meeting, Mike confirmed that we did meet the Standard and would retain it for the next three years, although more regular reviews can be arranged. In the meantime, VOW Europe Ltd will continue to operate under the best practice procedures highlighted during this recent review.
