Corporate Policies

Environmental Policy
VOW is committed to reducing Environmental Impact whilst continuing to provide the highest possible standard of products and services to its customers. The business is fully compliant with UK, Republic of Ireland and EU regulations where they apply.
In order to minimise our affect on the Environment we have implemented a Management System that conforms to ISO14001:2004. The Management System includes processes to plan, identify, control and review all environmental activities. Any adverse impacts are dealt with through a robust Corrective Action process to identify and eliminate the cause, thereby preventing further problems in the future.

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive
The WEEE directive is aimed at encouraging recycling and reusage of electrical and electronic equipment where possible and the correct disposal of such products.
You are obliged by law to take back any EEE product purchased from you by a consumer and arrange its disposal. To assist you in meeting the requirements of the WEEE directive VOW have provided a file indicating those products subject to PRF charges and the PRF charge for that product.

Waste Batteries and Accumulators Regulations 2009

Under the Waste Battery Regulations, VOW Europe offer a take back scheme for all portable batteries. You can return your waste batteries to either our registered office, K House, Europa Link, Sheffield Business Park, Sheffield S9 1XU or Newlands House, Tuscany Park, Express Way, Wakefield Europort WF6 2TZ in person (please do not post). We have battery receptacles available in our reception areas for you to place your waste batteries in.

Alternatively, you can find your local waste battery recycling facility at

Most supermarkets and shops that sell batteries will have collection bins for used batteries, and some town halls, libraries or schools may also set up collection points. End-users may find stores in their local area more accessible.

The Bribery Act 2010

VOW Europe is committed to carry on business fairly, honestly and openly in everything we do and wherever we operate. Our reputation is built on our values as a company, the values of our employees and our commitment to acting with professionalism and integrity. VOW takes its legal responsibilities extremely seriously and is committed to taking a zero tolerance approach towards bribery.

Whilst we are a UK and Ireland based business, we will uphold all laws relevant to countering bribery and corruption in all the jurisdictions in which we operate. We remain, however, bound by the laws of the UK, including the Bribery Act 2010, in respect of our conduct both at home and abroad and will actively co-operate with relevant enforcement authorities in the investigation and punishment of any act of corruption or bribery by any person employed by or associated with VOW.

“We have a clear policy and procedures in place to combat bribery and corruption and we will not and our employees will not, give or receive bribes or other advantages of any kind. We will not accept bribery and corruption in our company or in any company or organisation that we deal with. We will not do business with any party that does not acknowledge and respect our zero tolerance approach to bribery.”
